Alessandra de Picciotto President and co-founder

Management

Alessandra began her career in London at the Investment Bank Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as a stockbroker. In 1998 she joined the family business at Swiss Private Bank CBG Compagnie Bancaire Genève in London and later in Geneva as a Relationship Manager looking after HNWIs. In 2010, she joined Fransad Gestion and took over as CEO in 2011. As a Board member of various family related companies, she still contributes to the development of the other arm of her family activities notably in the hotel industry in Switzerland and in the US. In 2018 she co-founded Vanarix SA.
Alessandra holds a BA in Economics and Finance (London, UK).

Dr Vannary Tieng, PhD CEO and co-founder

Management

After completing her PhD degree in biology, Vannary started her research work on the mechanism of autoimmune diseases in Paris. Driven by the passion to translate fundamental research into clinical applications, she joined the Translational Research Center at the University of Geneva in 2009. In parallel of teaching activities, her work focused on cell therapy and tissue engineering applied to neurons and later on cartilage. She discovered and patented several key methods in the field of cell therapy. Vannary holds an engineering degree in food and biological processing (CNAM, Paris, 1996), PhD in Biology (Paris 7 University, 2002) and MBA (Sorbonne, Paris, 2008). She was also trained in Laboratory Medicine in immunology and hematology clinic (FAMH at Geneva hospitals, 2014-2017) .

Dr Eric Gerstel, MD, PD Chief Medical Officer

Management

Eric started his career as Medical Doctor in Internal Medicine and Intensive Care. In 2007, he was appointed Deputy Head Physician at University Hospital of Geneva. Since 2010, he has been the medical director at Hirslanden Clinique La Colline, leading its development, whilst pursuing research, consulting, clinical and teaching activities at the University of Geneva. He obtained a Swiss National Science Foundation grant (FNS) for his clinical research projects and later an Innovation Promotion Agency (CTI) grant for his work on AI. Eric holds a Medical Doctor, Doctorate and Privat Docent (Unige), Master in Science in Epidemiology (UW, USA) and Leadership and Management degree (HSG).

Pierre Jotterand Chief Financial Officer

Management

Pierre spent part of his career at Banque Cantonale Genève where he notably developed the bank's international trading activities. He was then appointed COO of the banking group with missions to set up the IT strategy and the review of organizational processes. He then joined a family group to develop "private equity" activities in the real estate sector (hotels and shopping centers). Pierre holds a federal certificate in accounting and organization as well as a diploma from the IMD management school in Lausanne
